KACIN General Contractors Expands Office & Production Space for Advanced Manufacturing Technologies
Murrysville, Pa., February 26, 2008 -- KACIN General Contractors recently completed the design-build renovation of a 12,500 square-foot building, and addition of a 14,400 square-foot office building and production facility in Westmoreland Industrial Park III for Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (AMT). The new structure has allowed AMT, a manufacturer of printed circuit board assemblies, to consolidate its operations under a single roof.
“KACIN did an excellent job of integrating our existing and new facilities,” says Buck Helfferich, president of AMT. “They were ‘hands-on’ throughout the project and went beyond the scope of the agreement, just as we do with our own customers. KACIN’s transparent quoting was particularly helpful as project specifications changed.””
As part of the project, KACIN added a second level of administrative offices, expanded the manufacturing floor size and installed duplicate HVAC, electrical and vacuum systems to prevent shutdowns, as well as high-end conductive flooring, global humidity control, and an employee lounge/meeting room with a HD video and 7.1 surround sound.
